Grading policy¶
Grading in this course will be based on labs, homeworks, one midterm and one final exam.
Final grade: 20% HW + 30% midterm + 50% final
(lab attendance impacts homework grade, see below)
Homeworks and labs¶
Labs format:
You will use R as primary language, but are welcome to work with any other scientific programming language you are more familiar with (Python, Julia...)
Lab attendance is mandatory. You are allowed 4 drops throughout the semester. After that, a deduction of 10 points per missed session will be applied to your HW grade.
Homework grading on completion. A reasonable ammount of work is expected to get full credit.
Exams¶
Midterm: Tuesday 10/13, 9:30--11 am (normal class time, usual classroom Moffitt Library 145)
Final: Tuesday 12/15, 3--6 pm
